The common and the sublime

Here are a few prints I made for a series project themed "The common and the sublime." I chose to focus on tension created by the space between objects.

Its been great to spend time working on photography traditionally. It helps keep me grounded and more decisive with my images. Technically, they aren't the best, but its been about four years since I was last in a darkroom and I'm picking it up again pretty quickly.

All shot with a Yashica Mat 124G on 100 speed Kodak Tmax.

  1. I love the second one! I really do get a sense of tension from the space in that one.
